The ForEverest Collection is a limited-edition line of outdoor gear made from waste collected directly from Mount Everest, addressing decades of environmental damage on the mountain.
Each product functions as both high-performance equipment and a storytelling artifact, honoring legendary climbers while carrying their legacy forward.
Launched through global retail, exhibitions, and on-site collection programs at Everest base camps, the project transformed waste into incentive and action—proving that sustainability and performance can coexist.
Mount Everest is one of the world’s most iconic natural landmarks, yet decades of climbing have left it burdened with massive amounts of waste.
The problem wasn’t awareness—it was the lack of a system that turned responsibility into action.
The ForEverest Collection was launched as the first outdoor apparel line made from waste recovered on Mount Everest.
Each jacket pays tribute to legendary climbers such as Edmund Hillary, Tenzing Norgay, Reinhold Messner, and Junko Tabei, weaving their stories into the design.
The collection was introduced through global flagship stores and exhibitions, while waste collection stations near Everest base camps allowed climbers to exchange trash for essential gear—turning cleanup into participation.
The project transformed sustainability from a message into a visible system of action.
By connecting product, storytelling, and participation, The ForEverest Collection positioned The North Face as a brand actively shaping a more responsible future for climbing culture.
